The Young Foundation, UK. 2024
Collated, analysed, and systematically presented insights and emerging recommendations generated by citizen researchers across NGO partners in the Peer Action Collective (PAC). Funded by the Youth Endowment Fund, the #iwill Fund (a joint investment between The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport), and the Co-op Group, this initiative supported young people across England and Wales to design and carry out peer research. The work explored young people’s perceptions and experiences, surfaced local challenges and solutions, and informed evidence-based recommendations for policy and practice.

Children's Commissioner for Wales, UK. 2024

Conducted a Situational Analysis and evidence review on the experiences and knowledge gaps surrounding children living with disabilities in Wales. Grounded in the social model of disability, the analysis examined the current evidence base on children’s lived experiences, highlighting key opportunities, challenges, and persistent barriers to their inclusion and participation. The work identified critical gaps in data and understanding, informing recommendations to strengthen policy and practice for children’s rights and voice.
Children's Commissioner for Wales, UK. 2024

Conducted a document and data review of the policy framework and the scale of homelessness affecting children in Wales, with a focus on young people aged 11–16. The review assessed existing knowledge on children’s experiences of homelessness and insecure housing, identifying critical gaps in evidence and understanding. The findings aimed to inform future research, policy development, and targeted support for children facing housing instability in Wales.

Analysed data and authored a public report on Ambitions for Wales / Gobeithion i Gymru, capturing the experiences, concerns, and priorities of 8,830 children and young people, alongside 1,383+ parents, carers, and professionals across Wales. The findings provided a comprehensive picture of what matters most to children and informed strategic and operational decision-making by both government and non-government bodies working to support child welfare and development. The report serves as a key resource for shaping the Children’s Commissioner’s priorities and broader policy direction in Wales.

​Delivered tailored research and strategic support to strengthen institutional capacity for designing and implementing a Youth Voice Strategy. This work focused on embedding meaningful and appropriate child and youth participation across the organisation’s structures, policies, and practices, ensuring young people’s perspectives are central to decision-making and programme delivery.

Save the Children Denmark. 2022
Led a participatory situational analysis for Save the Children Denmark’s Shifting the Power programme, funded by DANIDA, working with and for adolescents and youth from fragile contexts. The project aimed to elevate youth voice in global decision-making spaces, strengthen support and funding for youth-led civil society organisations, and promote inclusive advocacy led by young people themselves. The analysis focused on enhancing youth engagement in governance, providing professional development and mentorship for youth researchers, and identifying practical methods to challenge the systemic exclusion of marginalised groups (including young women, youth with disabilities, and the youngest youth) in development, humanitarian, and academic research.

Develop Markets for the Poor (M4P) Working Paper using the Adopt/ Adapt/ Expand/ Respond (AAER) framework with Market Systems Development (MSD) theory to analyse the outcomes and sustainability of STARS agri-finance and agri-business innovations funded by the MasterCard Foundation. Includes case studies drawn from four countries and eight value chains. Working Paper plus knowledge sharing outputs and graphics.

Technical assistance to design and implement multi-country rapid response mixed-methods research to monitor effects of COVID-19 on agri-finance across 8 value chains in four countries. Develop evidence informed programme refinements and wider knowledge sharing products for MasterCard funded STARS project which aims to break the cycle of poverty & food insecurity among 210,000 farmers by facilitating access to financial markets & agricultural services using market systems development (MSD) approach to provide smallholder farmers with access to business development services (BDS), and linking them to input providers.

Design & conduct research study on the effects of Ebola on alternative care practices to inform operational & strategic planning & promote knowledge sharing advocacy strategies of public & private sector organisations in Sierra Leone. Led 30 local survey enumerators & 20 FGD facilitators to collect qualitative & quantitative data. Review of strategic partnerships between GOAL and government agencies inc. MoSWGCA & NCC, child protection organisations, inc. UNICEF, Save the Children, & community level structures.

Designed and led complex review and assessment of the impact of mobile phones on conflict and security and developed strategic recommendations and knowledge sharing for Mobile Network Operators globally. Fieldwork included case studies on crisis-affected migrant & refugee populations in Kampala & Kyangwali Refugee Settlement in collaboration with UNOCHA, OPM, UNHCR & the GSMA.

Senior Researcher of a complex conflict resolution and community security intervention conducting action research and implementing strategic interventions to identify and address youth crime & security issues. Collaborated with and provided technical assistance to NSAs, police, local council & representatives of local businesses. Delivered Inception and final report for UK Government.

Conducted environmental impact assessments to investigate wildlife (specifically lemurs & chameleons) density in the Andasibe-Mantadia National Park for a collaborative multi-donor UK-Malagasy research project. Contributed to knowledge sharing and advocacy actions.

Rural development in Andasibe & surrounding areas for the reforestation of wildlife corridors & buffer-zones in Tetik'asa Mampody Savoka in collaboration with local NSAs and stakeholders. Project Evaluation & Assessment of ongoing impact of development initiatives on environment, local markets, conflict dynamics and women’s empowerment. Contributed to knowledge sharing and advocacy actions.
